Note on flyleaf reads, "This antient [sic] ms. was presented me by my worthy friend, the Rev. Jacob Abbot of Hampton Falls N.H., March, 1807. I think there can be no doubt that it was the 50th vol. of ms. sermons written by the Rev. Joshua Moodey, the first who was ordained for the ministry at Portsmouth, N.H. Timothy Alden, 17 March 1807." With bookplate of the Theological Library, Boston.
